Subject: A Confused Student
Date: 13-Feb-2002
Question: Dear Sir/Madam,
I've completed my B.Com last year.Since then,I've spent my time doing a computer course at Boston's Computer Institute. I was also studying for the M.B.A. entrance exams(CAT & CET). My MBA is still my first priority, but till I get in (which is uncertain) I'd like to work as a WEB Designer/Programmer. My resume is attached below. While looking out for jobs, I saw that most job requirements are for people with 1-2 yrs work experience.

Please advice me as to what I should do.
Thank You,
Ranjit

Answer: Dear Ranjit,
If you have a computer at home, try practising your programming skills as much as you can. Make sure that you have a very strong and thorough conceptual as well as practical knowledge of whatever you have studied. Apart from this, keep sending in your resume to companies even if they are looking for some experienced people. I'm suer you will get a chance to prove yourself. Most important is to be optimisitic and not to give up!

Best of luck
