Question: My self a M.Tech electrical engineer working in a public sector for 6 years engaged in electricity distribution. I want to do Executive MBA from ISB hyderabad or IIMC. I want to change my whole work profile and enter in finance sector in banking.. Is it good to do executive MBA to change my career or give CAT @ do regular MBA course. MY age is 32.. Please help me as I'm really very confused.. Thanks RAAJ
Answer: Executive MBA's are a good option for working professionals and if you have a valid good GMAT score you get an edge over other candidates during the selection process. With your experience and profile it would be better if you crack the GMAT exam over the CAT exam because then you can approach even overseas universities which have tailor-made executive programmes for working professionals. As you want to make the switch to the finance or banking sector while doing your management course, it would be preferrable to go for a regular MBA.
