Subject: Unable to complete Engineering. What to do?

Question: I have done my 10th in 2001 with 83% and my 12th in science with 53% in 2003 and then took up mechnical engg in private college in bangalore after taking up CET. I have been failing since then in engg in every semester and now have lost my elgibility for past 3yrs ...I have completed till 4th sem but have lot of papers pending, I have given my best efforts but still i am not able to get my papers cleared...now is it wise to quit it look for other options..my age is now 21yrs..i dont know what to do .. my parents are forcing me to complete engg..I am feeling very depressed is it time to look for other options ...in this case what is the best option for me how should i go ... i even dont know what am i good at .. however .. i want to be a graduate..plz suggest me suitabaly
Answer: I can understand the situation you are going through but don't get disheartened...life does not end if you don't complete your Engineering course. You can take up an undergraduate course either from a regular college or a correspondence course, which can atleast make you eligible to appear for other entrances. Then follow it with the higher and specialised courses. There are colleges that give admission for a regular seat despite your age. So work towards it, which course would you like to take up-BSc/BCom/BA/BBA and then start hunting for colleges. There are many private institutions also which give quality education...look out for all ossibilities..Believe in yourself.
