Subject: whats after 12th for my son
Date: 18-Sep-2007
Question: my son is slowly deteriorating in his schoolistic performance over last 3 yrs. He passed 10th with 60% in 2006, taken PCB with his choice and could manage to just pass in 11th this year. His performance in 12th during class tests & unit tests is very poor and his teachers now started suggesting to get him a drop. his behaviour also has become very aggressive, he is not mixing with any of his class mates and not ready to sit and talk for his future. only thing he says that he wants to appear for board exam.In this situation should i allow him to appear for the exam or not. what should he do after 12th?
Answer: Dear Parent

It is very natural for you to be worried about your child's performance and his future but at the same time it is more important to find out the underlying reasons for this. If his behavior is turning aggressive, not mixing with friends, scholastically he is not faring well, then there has to be certain other issues involved in it. You should meet his teachers and friends to find out what is boggling him and also take help of a Psychologist.

Once he is able to handle these issues it will not be difficult for him to focus in his studies and future goals.

Hope that will help you.
