| Question: I HAVE DONE MCA FROM IGNOU(OCT 2005) WITH Ist DIV?
I AM WORKING RIGHT NOW IN CONVERGYS(B.P.O)AS A FINANCE EXECUTIVE TO EARN MY BREAD . MY POSITIVE PART IS COMMUNICATION AND ANALYTICAL MIND AS I ASK MUCH QUERIES AND BELIEVE TO GO IN DEPTH OF MATTER.
MY INTEREST IS ORIENTED TOWARDS SOMETHING WHICH IS BASED ON TECHNICAL STUFF+ MANAGEMENT+ COMMUNICATION(VERBAL/WRITTEN).
SUCH KIND OF PROFILE IS NOT IN MY MIND.
I DON'T WANT TO DO S/W DEVELOPMENT AND TESTING BECAUSE MY INTEREST IS NOT THAT MUCH IN THE ABOVE SPECIFIED AREA
DATABASE JOB REQUIRES SOME CERTIFICATIONS OF ORACLE LIKE BIG COMPANIES. I AM WORRIED THAT AFTER DOING COSTLY CERTIFICATION ,,WHAT IS THE GURANTEE OF DEVELOPING INTEREST IN DATABASE?. I WAS SUGGESTED THAT DO SOMETHING THEN INTEREST WOULD AUTOMATICALLY BE DEVELOPED.
THE SAME CONCERN IS WITH CCNA AND MCSE LIKE NETWORK COURSES..
KINDLY SHOW ME A PATH TO MOVE ON.

| Answer: If your work environs suit you then instead of being in the Finance department try to move on to the technical support team as it is an amalgamation of technical+ management+ communication skills put together. You could also look out for options in the field of advertising and journalism. You are already blessed by the technical acumen and communication and the only thing you need to work on is your managerial skills for which you could pursue a distance MBA programme which most of the BPOs are providing these days. |
