Answer: Biotechnology is one of the fastest growing sectors in our country today. Jobs are present mainly in R & D of Pharma/Biotech companies, but only for skilled candidates who are technically sound. Therefore students who are academically very good in their studies work in R&D after their PG. Other students normally get job in quality control, production or in the marketing department of Pharma/Bio-analytical instrument manufacturing company.
If you want to work in R & D then try for post graduation in biotechnology .Also try for GATE because GATE score always helps in finding a good job. If you don’t have interest in R & D then go for MBA
Many website are available which can help you in preparing for interview questions, aptitude and GD. You may find them on Internet
You can definitely work in Ranbaxy and Dr Reddy, but you have to be technically sound. You can also approach these companies for major and minor projects (which you have in 7th and 8th semester, project from reputed institute helps in finding good job).
In starting you can get pay between Rs.10, 000/- to Rs.15, 000/- per month.
So don’t be so depressed, you still have one year in your hand.
