Question: I am doing B.Tech(computer science). I want to know about the scope after M.Tech. Apart from Research & Teaching what are the other opportunities. What are the opportunities after doing M.tech from IITs,IIS & NITs.
Answer: An M.Tech degree is not only confined to research and teaching alone. One is not only able to get a better insight with the specialisation but is also able to have a command in it. You would definitely get weightage over a B.Tech in which ever organisation you apply as its the time for skilled people. Remember, education never goes waste but it is how you want to leverage it. For doing M.Tech you would have to take the Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineers(GATE) which would qualify you for senior positions in both public and private sector enterprises. You could also serve the forces with the requisite qualifications.
