Subject: What to do after ll.b? Not interested in career in Law.
Date: 7-May-2008
Question: hi,

i am 27 years old. i have done geo(h) and ll.b. after doing my law i practised for a year and a half but then i realised i am not interested in it. i started preparing for civil services. i did qualify my prelims twice but couldn't crack the mains.

Now i am finding myself at the crossroads.i really can't decide what should i do next? i am thinking of doing m.b.a from abroad or LL.M from delhi. I am unable to decide what move would be good for me. will i be able to find a good job after studying for 2 more years because i will turn 29 after 2 years, please guide me what should i do?

Answer: As you have already mentioned that after working for a year and a half in the law profession you realised that you are not interested in it, then doing an LL.M course would prove to be futile as it is an outgrowth of law. Instead it would be good if you could take up MBA from a reputed institute but as you plan to do it from abroad you would need to get a good score in your GMAT exam and that would be worth the pain.

All the best in your new effort.
