Date: 10-Oct-2007
Question: Hi, My name is Tarun Sharma.

I am a B.A graduate. i have done one year diploma in computer hardware and networking.
I am Microsoft Certified Professional. But could not find job in I.T. Sector.
Now I am planning to get certified in Oracle's database management system.
Please suggest me that will it be beneficial for my career or what is the scope of B.A graduate in the field of I.T.?
If not, which computer course will help me to get job. Is it necessary to get certified in any of I.T. certification like (BCA.,MCA,PGDCA) from any university.
Beyond BPO, which sectors required Networking Professionals or DBA Professionals?

Answer: You need to first understand where are you going wrong as far as job hunting is concerned and work on those areas. As for doing a course like MCA or PGDCA is concerned, it can definitely help you in the long run to make a mark in the IT industry. Besides BPO's, there are a number of openings in software companies and computer firms as computers have become so indispensable in our lives. Even educational institutions these days require networking professionals.

Analyze yourself and try finding out where is the lacunae then go ahead with your search. All the best!
