Subject: After 12th (Math) BCA then MBA or MCA
Date: 21-Oct-2007
Question: Dear Sir/Madam,

I am a 20 year old boy from Gwalior. I did my 12th with Mathematics. I scored 53% marks in aggregate and I am complete BCA with 70%. I am interested in going for career in IT and there after some other course like MBA or MCA. I am very confused MCA or MBA.

So please tell me best career for me quickly.

Thank you.

Answer: Ideally, it would be better if you opt for MCA after BCA as that would give you the expertise in your field of interest. If you have devoted 3 years in your BCA education, it shows you are keen to get into the IT sector. If the reason for confusion is getting into the managerial position is concerned then reflect on what is it that you want to do in life.

Another option you could consider is doing an MBA-IT which would cater to both your needs.

Hope that helps.
