Question: I am a first year journalism student. I wanted to do law but couldn't get through. I still want to do it. today we have 5 year integrated courses and I have heard that a separate LL.B degree will not hold much importance in front of it. Is it true? With a journalism degree will it be like sailing in two different boats? Will I get a good placement? please help.
Answer: To a certain extent yes, a 5 yrs integrated course has more value but if you are keen to take up this profession this it is advisable that you do the course from any of the reputed law colleges. This would give you a good placement as well. Remember, no qualification goes waste, your journalism course is like a value addition. Some of the reputed colleges are:

  • The National Law school, Bangalore
  • Govt. Law College, Mumbai
  • Nalsar university of law, Hyderabad
  • NUJS, Kolkata(National University of Juridical Sciences)
  • National Law Institute University, Bhopal

hope that helps you to realise your dream!
