Answer: If you were not able to get admission in MBA, you still can pursue your career in advertising if you really want that.

After doing a PG Diploma course in Advertising you can enter this field. In the field of advertising, you have the opportunity to make your mark as an advertising manager (responsible for planning budgets and overall supervision) or a creative worker such as a copy-writer, artist, and designer who develop and produce print, radio and television commercials. Business and public relations workers handle clients and arrangements for broadcasting commercials on radio and television, for publishing advertisements in newspapers and magazines, etc.

The Indian Institute of Mass Communication, at New Delhi and Dhenkanal; Xavier Institute of Communication, Mumbai, and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan centres all over the country, Sophia College B.K.Somani Polytechnic, Mumbai are some institutes that offer a course in advertising - Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad (MICA) takes in students through CAT (IIM). Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai and the Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune also selects candidates through an entrance examination. Notifications of these institutions appear in popular dailies between August -October each year. The entrance examination is similar to that of the management admission test. It is followed by a group discussion and interview.
