Answer: For a cartographer's post the minimum educational qualification for appointment will be BA/B.Sc. with Mathematics, having passed 12th Class (10+2) or equivalent with Science and mathematics as main subjects from Recognised Board/University.
Age: 20-25 years as on 24/03/2008.
Physical Standard: As applicable to the regular army.
Procedure to Apply:
Candidates are required to submit duly filled prescribed Application Form along with all required documents duly superscribed "Application for Surveyor Automated Cartographer" on the top outer cover of the envelope to the respective HQ Recruitment Zones/ IRO, Delhi Cantt or Gorkha Recruiting Depot, Kaunraghat, Goraphpur (UP) of which the candidate domicile. Candidate has to appear for the written test from the same place. Candidates has to appear for the written examination form the same centres. Candidates found eligible will be issued call up letters by concerned HQ RTg Zone/ARO etc. for initial screening which will include checking of original certificates and medical examination. The screening candidates will be put through written examination which will be conducted on 23 Dec 2007 and will comprise of Two papers, one for Mathematics (Max. marks 100) and second for knowledge of Physics and Chemistry of 50 marks each (Max. marks 100). Successful candidates will be interviewed at selected Regt Centres.
