Subject: M.B.A. after M.C.A. from top 5 RECs
Date: 23-Jun-2002
Question: I'm a student of M.C.A.(final year) studying in one of the top 5 RECs. I want to go for M.B.A. from a reputed institute (like IIMs) after completion of this course. Would it be of great help in getting me good job? Or will it be a mere waste of time? If it is going to help me then to what extent? Please reply in detail. Thank you.
Answer: As far a 'getting a job' is concerned, it will be a waste. You may as well be picked from your Campus itself. When it comes to a long term growth, or a better start in a job, M.B.A. from IIM will definitely help. The problem is some times the heads are thrown very high in the air, which may cause problems for the head owner. If you can manage yourself well, it is the right path.
