Subject: MBA after HSC
Date: 2-Oct-2007
Question: Dear Sir/ Ma'am

I have appeared for HSC in UP in 1998. now I am at Mumbai.

I am working from past 8 years in Garment export house. Now I want to go for MBA in HRM (since I am good at human relations in terms of work). Pls let me know how it is possible.

I have done enquiry at various institutes in Mumbai, where they require any graduate degree.

I happened to speak with "Institute of Business Management study" IBM ( www.ibmedu.org)

They offer a program of diploma in Business Administration (can be completed in period of 3 months to 1 yr) & there after one can enroll to MBA in their university. But that institute is not affliated to UGC or any other well know university. They say they are recognized by ISO 9001 : 2000 (Quality), accredited to UKAS.

Pls advice if you know about any other way out. Or pls let me know if you find any authentication of above mentioned institute (IBM)

Awaiting for your prompt & helpful reply

Thanks & Regards

Payal

Answer: Dear Payal, Any Institute that claims to give you a diploma in 3 months and is not recognized should be avoided. Don't take chances with such courses cause both your time and money would be invested and it would be no good deal. Try to do some other course that would make you eligible to appear for any MBA degree. Focus on your graduation first and then do your MBA. There is no shortcut for success.

Hope that helps.
