Question: hi i m 2nd year adv. student I'm confused what should I do? I'm very creative which is the best career in advertisement other than journalism?
Answer: Since you are already doing your advertising course, you can think of pursuing further in this field only rather than thinking of journalism. It is good to know that you are creative which is an essential pre-requisite for this profession. If you can do your post graduation or an MBA that would certainly help your career to take off. But even after graduation you can have jobs at various places like:
Advertising agencies
Advertising departments of public sector or private sector companies
Commercial section of radio and television
Market research organisations
Freelance work
Advertising section of magazines, journals and newspapers.
Advertising field offers a range of lucrative, interesting careers. The job in this field is categorised into two, executive and creative. Executive side include Client Servicing, Market Research and Media Research. Creative side consist of copywriters, scriptwriters, visualisers, photographers and typographers.
