| Answer: ICAI has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) to conduct specialised courses for Chartered Accountancy students.
A CA student joining graduation course under the university need to pass only in six papers out of the 21.
The specialized B.Com courses would be in accounting and finance.
This is an innovative and flexible programme designed exclusively tor the Chartered Accountancy First Stage students. This programme consists of courses of CPT, PCC, completion of Articleship of Chartered Accountancy and 32 credits of IGNOU courses. Students can simultaneously study B.Com (A&F) along with Chartered Accountancy. On completing Chartered Accountancy First Stage, students get exemption to all those courses in B.Com (A&F).
