Question: I am currently in IT industry working as a software professional. I am working in this industry from last 4 years. Somehow, I have always wanted to move to 'writing' as a career but couldn't. I do write a lot on internet and blog a lot. I believe it is my true calling and thus I want to pursue a career in Mass Communication.
However, it is not sensible for me to leave my current job and pursue a full-time course in Mass communication; so I am really confused. Please guide me.
Thanks and Regards,

Answer: Mass Communication includes many subjects like Print Journalism, Electronic Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising, Film Making etc. Since you are only interested in writing you can pursue a course only in Journalism. Moreover you say that you are full time working and won't be able to join a regular course, you can opt for some course in Journalism through distance education mode.
A correspondence course in the area would help you to continue education without leaving your home or work place. The expenditure in pursuing a Journalism correspondence course becomes much lower than most of the regular courses. This is another reason that has made distance education correspondence courses very popular among all sections of society in India. Moreover the successful completion of a correspondence course in Journalism can help any one to improve career options in their life.
